Steroid shots in elbow

I have been suffering from Tennis elbow for the last three and a half months and it has been one of the worst injuries that I have experienced if I am honest. It has stopped me from going to the gym and enjoying working out which is a recreation that I enjoy fully, or did.

I decided to try your device and as nothing else I tried seemed to help. I have read that it can take anywhere from months to up to a year for tendons to heal. I can say I was rather disheartened by reading this news.

Having used the Tenease device regularly since I purchased it from yourselves I have definitely seen some improvement and I would say that it is definitely helping.

It is a slow process but I am definitely getting near the light at the end of the tunnel and will hopefully be back in the gym soon.

If I had a criticism of your device it would be that the batteries don't seem to last very long, this could be down to the make I buy, although they are ones I use for other devices and seem to last a lot longer. The other thing is that it is fiddly having to unscrew the unit all the time to change the battery.

Overall I do think it is helping with my recovery and ultimately speeding it up.

Hope this helps. Marcel Jones, Killingworth

For several years I experience lower back pain, and after sitting for any length I had trouble straightening up and I was in pain. I also had a severe sore spot in the buttocks area. After xrays my doctor diagnosed it as arthritis in the lower spine and prescribed physical therapy. After a month or so of exercise & therapy the pain in the buttocks had gotten worse. I went back to the doctor who diagnosed it as tendonitis and gave me shot of cortisone in my butt. Lo and behold the pain disappeared and I now can get up out of a sitting position without being bent over and in pain. So it appears that my problem all along was tendonitis, rather than arthritis of the lower spine. Will it last, or should I return to therapy as he suggested.

Cortisone injections are extremely safe, but they do still have potential problems. If you are concerned about having a cortisone shot, talk with your doctor. While cortisone is a powerful treatment for many orthopedic conditions, there are usually other options that can also be tried. Many doctors will offer an injection as they are quick, easy, and most often effective. However, your doctor should also be able to offer other treatments for inflammation that may also be effective for those that cannot have, or don't want, a cortisone injection.
